For the Student

4-step Learning Path

Students want to study as efficiently as possible. The 4-step structure of myenvironmentplace allows students to identify what they don't know, select the appropriate learning activity to match their learning style, practice outside of lecture, test their understanding before moving on to the next topic, and finally extend their knowledge with case studies and special topic material.

The content for every chapter follows an effective 4-step learning path:

 Focus your Effort
uses a pre-test as a roadmap to identify your students' study needs. In addition to question-specific feedback on wrong answers of the pre-test, students can link to the exact section of myeBook or go to an activity to learn the material.

Personalized Study Plans are created for students with question-specific feedback on each wrong answer. Each answer's feedback includes links to the exact section of myeBook material that they need to review or to activities that help in learning the material.

 Direct Your Learning
is organized by section of the book including links to myeBook and appropriate animations to support the various learning styles of your students. When appears, students can link to the appropriate section of myeBook from within the Pre- and Post-Tests, and Personalized Study Plans.

 Test Yourself
offers a Post-test to check students' understanding and prepare for exams.

 Extend Your Knowledge
allows students to go beyond the chapter material by exploring Current Events with RSS news feeds and recent New York Times articles.
